Mixing advanced optics and sophisticated handling, the Canon EF-mount MF 14mm f/2.8 WS Mk2 Lens from Samyang is an ultra-wide-angle prime that is especially well-suited to astrophotography, architecture, and landscape shooting applications. Featuring a 14 elements, 10 groups optical design, this lens utilizes a series of aspherical, low dispersion, and high refractive index elements to reduce color fringing, aberrations, and distortions for sharp, clear, and color accurate imagery. An Ultra Multi-Coating is also featured, as well as a built-in petal-shaped lens hood, to suppress lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast when working in bright, direct lighting conditions. Complementing the imaging assets, manual focus operation, with an internal focusing design, is employed and permits working with subjects as close as 11" away, and the metal housing is weather-sealed to permit working in inclement conditions. Additionally, a focus lock ring permits securing the focusing position to prevent accidental changes, and the aperture ring can also be de-clicked to better suit video applications.

Two completely new features of the new MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 are “Focus Lock” & “Declick”. Also, ‘de-click’ function allows aperture for fine and smooth adjustment without clicking.

With the minimum focusing distance of 0.28m(0.92ft) and its angle of view of 115.7˚, allows users to create compositions that emphasize perspective and that are unique to wide-angle lenses.

The MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 features a total of 14 elements in 10 groups. 3 High Refractive Lenses, 1 Hybrid Aspherical Lens, 1 Aspherical Lens, and 2 Extra-low Distortion lenses.

9 aperture blades create a stunning starlight effect in your wide angle images with 18 rays. Also, 9-rounded bokeh will help you achieve excellent bokeh results.

Environmental seals are located at the lens mount area to prevent infiltration of moisture and/or rain drops. MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 has the new micro patterned rubber focus ring to lower the contamination and increase the grip.
